"We love a clean citrusy washed Ethiopian at CiC and this fresh harvest Werka hits all the right notes"
This coffee lot is sourced from the village of Werka in the Nensebo district of Ethiopia's West Arsi Zone. The coffee is processed using the washed method at Aash washing station, which is located at an altitude of 1,900 meters. Aash is one of 26 stations managed by Testi Coffee, a family-owned company founded by Mr. Faysel A. Yonis.
Each year, Aash processes around 1 million kilos of coffee cherries, which are delivered daily by about 750 independent outgrowers to the nearby kebele of Bulga. This particular lot was produced as part of Testi’s Premium Cherry Selection (PCS) program, an initiative launched in 2018 to improve quality. Through the PCS program, farmers receive a premium for picking and delivering only the ripest cherries. Coffees from this program showcase the highest quality and cleanest cup profiles from the station and the surrounding region.
